A growing segment of parents is purchasing adult-grade electric motorcycles (capable of 40+ mph) for children too young to legally operate them, creating a liability gap that emergency rooms and law enforcement are now managing. The devices blur regulatory lines—marketed as "e-bikes" to evade licensing requirements while delivering motorcycle-level performance—making them cheaper and easier to acquire than actual motorcycles, but without corresponding safety infrastructure, training, or enforcement.
