Tesla's Cybertruck Exposes the EV Charging Gap for Heavy Trucks

The Cybertruck exposes a real constraint: U.S. charging networks were built for passenger vehicles and lack the high-amperage, fast-charging capacity that electric semis and heavy trucks need to compete on total cost of ownership. Tesla and legacy automakers can build the trucks. Neither can build the charging infrastructure at truck stops and distribution hubs that would make them economically viable. This requires coordinated investment across the industry.
