The proliferation of autonomous agents—personal, corporate, and organizational—is creating a new coordination problem: without standards or interoperability, these systems will spend resources talking past each other, duplicating work, and generating noise rather than scaling productivity. The agent economy narratives promise seamless coordination, but the reality is early chaos: multiple incompatible systems all trying to solve the same problems simultaneously, much like the early web before HTTP standardization.
