Internet Bodies Rush to Quantum-Proof the DNS

As quantum computing threatens to break current encryption, ICANN and related governance bodies are accelerating cryptographic upgrades to DNS—the foundational system that translates domain names into IP addresses. A compromised DNS would let attackers intercept traffic at scale without detection. Standards bodies that typically move glacially are now treating this as an infrastructure deadline, not a theoretical concern.
