The appeal of MySpace lay in the cultural moment it represented, which no relaunch can recreate. Consumers have cycled through Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok since 2005. Their expectations around features, privacy, and algorithmic behavior have changed; a retro MySpace can't compete on nostalgia or functionality.
